Get Graphic Census Statistics from DemographicChartbook.com

If you are looking for graphs and charts showcasing long-term demographic trends, look no further than Demographic Chartbook

Created by Campbell Gibson, who worked at the Census Bureau for 30 years, the site contains visualizations of census data from 1790 through 2000. It provides an instant feel for trends in demographic topics ranging  from age distributions to metropolitan populations, households, homeownership, fertility rates, educational attainment, language spoken, and more.

You can examine the Chartbook online or, after registering, download chapters or the entire dataset onto your computer. This is a great resource for students, historians and educators.

Fun facts can be found in every chart. For example, did you know that more Welsh live in Ohio than any other state, except Pennsylvania. And we come in third for people born in Switzerland and Czechoslovakia. See below.

This information was taken from the American Consumers Newsletter. Edited by Cheryl Russel and published by New Strategist Publications, its a great source of information related to business, economic and of course, consumer trends. Check it out at www.newstrategist.com/.
